Hello my lovelies, How are you today?
It is a beautiful spring day here, the sun is out there is a gentle breeze perfect for being out and about and yet I am home and doing stuff that isn't overly pleasant yes I am talking about cleaning pup the house. The never ending chore that is something we mothers do . We just finish and then start all over again because our darling children leave a path of destruction whenever they go.
Last night was the kids end of school concert, and dwell for a Christian school we rock it, the music is loud,( timbre pitiful, cotton eye joy, steps, justice crew) flashing lights, clapping and singing. From what I have heard from talking to other mums ( kids go to different schools) there end of year concert is so dry and ours is so upbeat and like a concert, I like the fact that the end of year concert is that a concert with loud music and lights. It should be a celebration, of all of the hard work that the kids and teachers have done for the year, it means that the school year is over and we can start looking forward to the long summer holiday.
This year in the primary school we are having a carnival on the last day, it has taken us ages to get it all sorted, and we are doing it with water. We have all sorts of fun things planned, and well I can't wait to see there faces, when they find out what we are doing - lets just say there is a dunk tank involved!!!!!
With the count down to Christmas on I should probably get the tree put up and decorated, plus start all of the yummy cooking that goes with it. This year I am going to have to redo some decorations because well we are home and it will be nice to get it all put up and looking spectacular.
What do you all do for Christmas?
Subscribe and let me know you care.

Good Morning my Lovelies
How are you today??????? Sorry I have been MIA for the last couple of days but have been unwell. For a couple of days I was sounding like Minnie Mouse, still don't sound overly good today.
Why is it we always want what we can't have? I have subscribed to a company that has homewares and furniture now this company while it has a store in Sydney it is predominantly in the USA, now normally I don't want the suff that is advertised- I use it for decorating ideas, but after looking at the email this morning I was wanting a great deal of the stuff. I think that comes from the fact that no matter what furniture shop you go into in Australia they have the same furniture the price may vary but that is about it. The bedding well that is fairly boring as well and being that we tend to get sick of looking at the same quilt cover all the time you need more than one.
I have even wondered what it would be like to live in the USA and I know what you are going to say the grass is always greener on the other side.
I guess when you have so many choices in clothes, furniture, and the fact that if you order anything from overseas it cost a fortune to get it shipped to Australia.
What would be great would be if the big international companies opened up in Perth first before the Eastern States and make them wait ages before they get a store.........ok now I am begging ( I grovelling, on hands and knees here - actually I'm not but it sets a nice picture doesn't it???)
My new toy has arrived, and I have ben playing with it. Now I am going to post the photos in a later post I promise. I still want to get used to it before I show it off.
I have had one similar before, while this has a few new features and they are taking a while to get used to.
It is the kids end of school concert tonight, they are super excited about it - and I have to say I am a bit to.

Good Morning my lovelies how are you today???
I am pretty blah today, woke up yesterday with a blocked nose, a really sore throat and like my head is full of cotton. I am the worst person to get sick - mainly because I don't rest to try and get better and that is because like most mothers we have to carry on because of all the things we have to do. I think that is the same for all women not just mothers, we are expected to just carry on and keep going. As I am typing this my eyes are closing so if there happens to be words in here that are complete gibberish you know I have face planted the keyboard.
Saturday I didn't get much done, in fact I don't think I did anything oh yes I took Patterson for a walk and did a load of washing. Other than that I did sod all, got back into my PJ'S and curled up on the lounge and watched TV. From that I can conclude there is nothing on TV during the day - and I was not going to watch fishing program, golf, cricket and another cooking show. On Foxtel there was a SATC marathon - which was repeated last night, now what I should have done is watch the DVD's of it, yes I own the whole box set and I could have watched it add free but instead I sat through the adds ( I muted them) and flicked channels.
It is starting to get hotter, I think the forecast for next week is in the high 30's and there is suppose to be storms as well, I have to say that this year I am really looking forward to summer I am over the cold weather and one day being hot then it being like winter for the next 2 days. This year I plan on going to the beach more, getting out and about with the kids - I have to fill up the long ( 8 week) holiday some how. If it gets to hot we will just hang out in the aircon and do a DVD marathon. So what do you do on the long Summer Holiday????
I am going to go - try and get some rest

Good Morning my lovelies how are you today?
Ok I have a confession to make, while I am not overly proud of what I have done and I plan only only telling a few close friends what I have done ( we are friends.......aren't we?)
So here goes, I stood at the kitchen bench and ate a cheesecake (from Coles) out of the container that it came in. Fork in hand in peace - well sort of the dishwasher is going, washing machine is going, I stood there and ate the cheesecake. Now I am not a great fan of shop bought cheesecake's but today it was so nice.
I am not sure if it tasted sweeter because the kids were not fighting and whinging, or the fact that they are still away and it was the fact that I could do it because I wanted to eat the cheesecake - I do have to admit it wasn't the full cheesecake it was half because I ate some of it the day before.....standing at the kitchen bench - I am starting to notice a trend here. Also I am not being payed or even asked to say anything about the fact that I got the cheesecake from where I did - I was one of the Mum's walking around the store with a stunned look on her face because she hadn't had her morning coffee that has to be gulped down while it is still hot and stripping her taste buds off as it burns a path down my throat ( insert mad hand waving and foot stomping here )
Speaking of coffee my coffee machine died so I am now back to drinking instant, I do plan on investing on another in the near future because well I need coffee I can't function without it and with it being made at home it is going to stop me going to a certain multi-national fast food place to get a coffee frappe every day. So for those of you have coffee machines why did you pick the brand you did and do you have buyers remorse and wish you hadn't?
Don't get me wrong I am enjoying the instant, but there is something so satisfying about having the coffee come out of the machine, that froths the milk and makes it look like you have just ordered it in a nice little hole in the wall cafe that nobody else in the city seems to know about only to find that somebody has done a review on it and it takes a week to get a table and you can't enjoy those precious moments of piece that mothers look forward to - sorry had to go make myself a cup of coffee and now I have lost my train of thought mmmmmmmmmm coffee.
The bad part of going out for coffee is that you feel like you need to get a muffin/biscuit/piece of cake, now generally I do partake in this ritual but do you know how many strange looks you get when you are eating cake at 8am in the morning and on many occasions I have contemplated the degree of difficulty it would take to get into the cake/biscuit/muffin cabinet and start sampling before the terrified staff call security to get me removed. When they say a rush I guess they were not talking about a sugar rush huh?

Good Morning my lovelies how are you today?
My weekend without children and husband is going well, was a bit lost last night I didn't have to have dinner ready, wasn't sure watch to on TV - actually there was nothing on that interested me.
I didn't eat all of the chips - I kept waiting for a child's voice to so "Mum, can I have some"?
I actually spent a great deal of time wondering what they were doing and if they are ok, Master 8 did ring me because he missed me, and to tell me that they saw a possum, he was a bit worried that he wouldn't do well on this camp but by the time the other scouts get there today and they get into the theme of the camp - it is pirate themed he will be fine and he will be too worn out to notice I am not even there. Miss 9 well she will be having a great time, putting her into scouts was the best thing we ever did for a girl who seems to have a problem when meeting new people she has come out of her shell and doesn't hide behind me when being introduced to them. She is also more confident in her ability.
What to do today - well after I have walked Patterson I am going to clean out my car and wash it. Now if you know me, I don't tend to this on a regular basis and the fact that I am doing it without my Hubby saying something - well lets just say I should be getting a ticker-tape parade for it!!!!! Then it will be the usual house tidy up and make sure everything is done so that I can just chill this afternoon.
I received a text on Friday telling me that my new toy will be arriving on Monday afternoon - SQUEEE. Yes I will be putting up pictures and letting you know how it does the wonderful things it does. While it will not be a "review" it will be me being very excited and telling you all about it.
Tis the season to be jolly, yes that time is fast approaching and for the first time in 7 years we are going to be home for Christmas, we did go away every Boxing Day for our 3 week holiday but this year we decided that we are not going. It is going to be weird because I will get to decorate the house - I promise not to go overboard, put up the wreathes - which need to be replaced, and do some cooking - the one thing I am looking most forward to doing and it is really simple and easy is chocolate covered strawberries and trying to smuggle some cherries into the house and sitting and eating them without the kids finding out but probably not happen because they will find them and eat them!!!
I think it is time to get new ornaments and tinsel for the tree - I am still undecided about the tinsel but I need to get new ornaments, I just happen to be in Red Dot and found some great ones but in true Kylie form I didn't buy them ( I was there to get pirate hats) so when I go back to get them they will be gone, might have to go to the Reject Shop to see what they have. I don't want to go overboard but I am really excited at being able to decorate. The best part about Christmas for me is reading Twas the Night before Christmas, it has become tradition that we read it from the 1st December right up until Christmas Eve - the kids ask for it to be read and get very disappointed if we miss a night.
So what are you Christmas Traditions??? Leave me a comment below.

Yes I know have already posted today but WOOWHO I am child free and Hubby free for the whole weekend. Not sure if I should crack open the packet of chips that I have hidden away - for this weekend, and there is more than one packet!!!!! Or do I start the movie marathon now ................ hmmm I am going to do both because I can and the fact I don't have to share the chips.
Ok I am getting a new toy, it arrives on Monday, I will take photos and maybe even get a video of the unboxing - not sure how that is going to work with me holding the camera but we will give it a whirl.
Toodles, I am off to start my movie marathon, eat my chips all without "MARM, HE TOUCHED ME". "MARM MARM MARM Where are you??"

Well it has been a while since I was on here. So I better fill you in on what has been happening, I did a bridging coarse to get into University and I am happy to report that I passed. So next year I am starting my Bachelor of Nursing.
I am going to go part-time, because I don't want to crash and burn, I am wanting to work while studying so I am applying for jobs and fingers crossed I get something so. I like working, I like the interaction with people. I have loved being a Stay at Home Mum but now it is time to get back into the workforce.
In saying that, it is very hard to get a job - raising two children, running a house doesn't qualify you for much so it would seem. I can see where employers are coming from in that I don't have skills that can be used and that I have children so I can be called out of work because the kids are sick.
My Husband has been very supportive of me following part of my dream - and I say part because when I was younger I wanted to be a Military Nurse and well I think I may be a wee bit to old to be in the Military.......while I did give some thought to joining the Reserves it would be something that I would have to give a great deal more thought to and would only ever consider it with the backing of my family.
Miss 9 - yes she has had a birthday since I last wrote and Master 8 are very excited at the thought of me being a Nurse, they have already told me that I can be the school Nurse! Miss 9 did say she wanted to be a Nurse like me, sadly that has changed once again but the rush and inflate of the ego was great while it lasted.
Oh we got a dog not a small dog ( he is a Rhodesian Ridgeback X - with what we are not sure, he is rescue dog), but he thinks he is when he tries to climb up on my knee and trust me when you have a 25kg dog sitting on your knee ( he weighs more than Master 8) it isn't ovelry comfy, then he starts to twitch and snore. Stimpy I did say she was a demanding geriatric cat and well it is true, she will not jump on the laundry bench to get her food ( a certain dog is fairly fond of the Whiskas vita-bites!!)when I am around, she sits there and meows until I lift her up she doesn't do it to anybody else. We had a cat door put in for her - she sits at the kitchen door and meows untill somebody lets her out, bought her a cat bed - Patterson now has the cushion in his bed, the catching post that we bought - sold that on Gumtree. She is very much boss of this house, but is kind enough to let my husband and I think we are!!
